A li'l somethin' for everyone

The 8 days of Smukfest is the highlight of the year for many people. But why? It’s just as hard as explaining as… well, love. But overall, it’s a lot about the feeling of unity and the unexpected experiences you can run in to as a guest in our little beech wood.

Here’s a little selection of what you can experience, when you visit Smukfest. It’s experiences in the experience!

For the music enthusiast

Smukfest is an experience that goes beyond just our music programme. There’s literally something for everyone! However, we have had some pretty rad headliners during the years… Oasis, Green Day, Eric Clapton, Kylie Minogue, Deep Purple, Pink, Volbeat, Petshop Boys, Björk, Ozzy Osbourne, The National, Bryan Adams, Avicii, Prince, Skrillex, Deadmau5, 50 Cent, Kings of Leon, Sia, Sting, Zara Larsson, Martin Garrix, Major Lazer, Elie Goulding, Kygo, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Kendrick Lamar, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone... among more than 4000 other fine acts!

For the artsy dude

The art scene in our beech wood is just getting bigger and bigger.
Graffiti art all over the place – on walls, cars, busses, street theatre, 3D-painting and a million other art instalments. We've had artists coming in to paint portraits directly on people, 40-meter high trees completely painted in pink, the most spectacular light installments throughout the woods and much more.
Nobody knows what’s coming next, so keep an eye out and be surprised!

For the hungry

When the munchies arrive, there’s no reason to panic or pull out a Snickers. There’s more than 80 different places to eat – from fine dining gourmet restaurant, quick-and-dirty burger joints and everything in between.

For the thirsty

There’s around 50 theme bars, and they are more than happy to help you extinguish your thirst! Whether you need beer, champagne, rum, whiskey, wine, drinks, shots – we got it all in 100 different shapes. Oh, yea – and good coffee!

For the sporty type

Smukfest is a festival with music, beers and lots of good food – but if you feel like burning off some calories during your stay, there’s both yoga and cross fit on the different camping areas. And if you really feel like doing some sports, you should go ahead and sign yourself up for our beach-handball tournament: Smukbold. Lots of fine prices!

For the self-indulging one

Festival isn’t normally linked with showers or wellness, but on Smukfest there’s room for a lot of self-indulgence. You can call our mobile-hairdresser, and he’ll be there to cut your hair, no matter where you are. Also, you can go to Sminkedåsen, which is a place with lots of make-up artists, who will give your face a brush-up for free!

For the playful

Smukfest is a mecca for playful adults. Through the years, we’ve had hundreds of silly instalments different places in the forest – for example Limboland, where you could dance limbo from you wake up till you go to bed, the Krammehus (The Hugging House) where you could order a specific kind of group hug or Lagkagen, where you could make your own cake and have it sent out for that specific guy.

For the brainy peeps

Some people wash out their brain cells while at our festival – others like to stimulate them. Both is more than okay with us. You can visit our talk scene, Udsigten, which presents lectures, discussions and different kinds of entertainment of the more intellectual sort.

For the adventorous one

If you move yourself out of the beech wood and towards Skanderborg city, you will see, that Smukfest stretches far beyond the marked festival area. Smukfest is nothing without Skanderborg City, and therefore we make sure to decorate the streets with lots of fairy lights and lovely activities, lounge music and the real Smukfest vibe.
